Maria G. Hernandez Maria G. Hernandez, 90, passed away Friday April 27, 2012, in Laredo, Texas. Mrs. Hernandez was a loving and caring wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend. She was a devout Christian and fully devoted to her family. She was a strong willed mother, who placed everyone else before her. She will be dearly missed. She is preceded in death by her parents, Petra Garcia and Merced De La Cruz; her loving husband, Juan Hernandez; son, Alfredo Hernandez; daughter, Yolanda Flores; grandson, Alfredo Hernandez Jr; brother, Manuel Garcia and granddaughter, Cynthia D. Martinez. She is survived by her children, Juan (Lucie) Hernandez, Jose Angel (Angie) Hernandez, Mario (Linda) Hernandez, Armando (Veronica) Hernandez, Oscar (Linda) Hernandez, Lucinda Martinez, Rebecca (Jamal) Rafati and Imelda Hernandez; grandchildren, Gabriela, Jose Jr, Maria Antonia, Merced, John, Elvira, Vady, Maria Luisa, San Juana, Mario, Ronnie, Mando, Clemente, Erica, Edmundo Jr, Marcy, Amanda, Sonia, Robert Jr, Sasha, Reymundo, Roberto, Ricardo; great-grand children, great-great- grandchildren; former son in law Edmundo Martinez; relatives and friends. A rosary will be recited on Monday, April 30, 2012, at 7 p.m. in the Hillside Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. from Hillside Funeral Home to San Martin de Porres Catholic Church. A mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in the family plot of the City Cemetery.
