Belia A. Castañeda Belia A. Castañeda passed away on May 9, 2012, in Laredo, Texas. Mrs. Castañeda worked in the fashion industry for over 25 years with the Franklin Store Chain in downtown Laredo. She was an active member of the Blessed Sacrament Altar Society. Her favorite pastime was her weekly afternoon bingo with her friends. Her pride and joy were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She thoroughly enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. Mrs. Castañeda is preceded in death by her parents, Tomas and Lucia Arredondo; Parents-in-law, Enrique and Maria Castañeda; Sisters, Luisa Ortiz, Elisa Rodriguez, and Herminia Fuentes; Brother, Tomas Arredondo Jr.She is survived by her husband, Enrique Castañeda Jr.; Children, Graciela C. (Jose Luis) Gámez, Kike (Dee Dee) Castañeda, and Eddie (Sandra) Castañeda; Grandchildren, Joey (Becky) Gámez, Cristina A. Gámez, Kike Castañeda IV, Monica (Michael) Zamora, Jorge R. (Ashley) Castañeda, Robert Castañeda, Cassandra Nicole Castañeda, Eddie Castañeda Jr., Ted (Krissy) Martinez, Monique Martinez, and John M. Gonzalez; Great-grandchildren Joey Gámez III, Pablo Esteban Gámez, Aiden Zamora, Jenavesia Nicole Castañeda, Sydney Brooke Martinez, Ryan Andrew Martinez, Mario Perez III, and Isabella Sofia Enriquez; brother, Jose (Maria) Arredondo. A rosary will be recited on Friday, May 11, 2012, at 7:00 p.m. in the Hillside Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. from Hillside Funeral Home to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
