Josefina C. Garza

Josefina C. Garza, 87, left her earthly home to begin her new Eternal Life on Thursday, June 7, 2012. Our mother, grandmother, and aunt was truly a source of inspiration, integrity and strength. She leaves behind a legacy that each one of us is challenged to meet and follow. Her interactive part in our lives will be deeply missed; however, we will heal and find comfort knowing she is in the presence of Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was an active member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Rodolfo Garza; children, Rodolfo Garza Jr. and Joanna (Rene) Escobedo; brother, Enrique (Sara) Campos; grandchildren, Jessica, David, and Christopher Garza, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and wonderful friends. A rosary will be recited on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. in the Hillside Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 14, 2012 at 8:00 a.m. from Hillside Funeral Home to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. A mass will be celebrated at 8:30 a.m. Interment will follow in the family plot of the Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Our deepest and sincere gratitude goes to her physicians, Dr. Jose R. Garcia, Dr. Jaime Sued, and Dr. Ricardo Estrada; her caregivers, Gabriel Gonzalez, Juanita Rodriguez, the nurses and therapists at Champion Care Home Health for their profound dedication, compassion and professionalism.
