Jose Gilberto Sanchez Jose Gilberto Sanchez, 72, passed away on Thursday, December 27, 2012 in Laredo, Texas. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Jose “Beto” Sanchez, an avid horse rider enjoyed the life in the ranch, horseback riding, trail rides and loved dancing with his beloved wife. He retired from Tex Mex Railway after dedicating 40 years to the company. He will be dearly missed by many family and friends. Jose Gilberto is preceded in death by his parents, Benito and Maria del Refugio Sanchez; siblings, Ramiro Sanchez and Maria Olga Garcia. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Sylvia G. Sanchez; children, Vera (Robert) Vaughn and Joe “Joey” G. Sanchez Jr; grandchild, Austin Jay Sanchez; siblings, Rodolfo (Patricia) Sanchez, Maria Luisa (Amador +) Tijerina, Rogelio (Raquel) Sanchez, Benito (Dora) Sanchez, Alejandro (Maria) Sanchez; also surviving are numerous relatives and friends. A rosary will be recited on Sunday, December 30, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. in the Hillside Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 31, 2012 at 8:30 a.m. from Hillside Funeral Home to Christ the King Catholic Church. A mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Services will conclude at the church.
