Jose Francisco Garza Sr., 68, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, January 3, 2013 in Laredo, Texas with his family by his side. Mr. Garza was born on June 4, 1944 in Mirando City, Texas. He began his occupational career in Laredo, Texas at La Posada Hotel and the Uniroyal Test Track. He later relocated to Gary Indiana and retired from Inland Steel in East Chicago with 34 years of service. He eventually made his way back to Laredo where he spent the last two years of his life. Mr. Garza is preceded in death by his parents Bonifacio Davila and Rebecca Garza; brothers, Refugio (Paula) Garza, Aurelio (Julie) Fraga; sister, Rebecca (Faustino) Reyes. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years of marriage Margie Garza; sons, Joe (Margie) Garza Jr., Javier (Teresa) Garza, Johnny Garza; daughters, Melissa (Benson) Garza Huang, Monica (Alfonso) Garza, brother Alfonso (Alicia) Vasquez, Juan Garza, Ricardo Fraga; sister, Patricia (George) Magnon, many grandchildren, one great-grand child, extended Medellin family from Laredo and the Davila family from Oilton, TX. A rosary will be recited on Monday, January 7, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. in the Hillside Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. from Hillside Funeral Home to San Martin De Porres Catholic Church. A mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Services will conclude at the church. Special thanks to his son-in-law, Dr. Benson Huang whom he entrusted his health to and provided him with medical attention until his final day.
