Valeriano Hernandez

Valeriano Hernandez, 80, passed away on Wednesday, January 16, 2013, in Laredo, Texas. Mr. Hernandez is preceded in death by his parents, Evaristo and Refugia Hernandez; brothers, Guadalupe Hernandez, Nieves Hernandez, and Martin Hernandez; sisters, Manuela Aguilar. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Ramona Hernandez; son, Valeriano Jr. (Cynthia) Hernandez; and daughters, San Juana (Alberto) San Miguel, Sylvia (Elias) Ramos, Ernestina (Miguel) Trevino, and Matilde (Arnulfo) Trevino. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, brother, Pedro (Aurora) Hernandez, and sisters, Maria (Armando) Soto and Epifenia Gonzalez. A rosary will be recited on Thursday, January 17, 2013 at 7 p.m. in the Hillside Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 18, 2013 at 8:00 a.m. from Hillside Funeral Home to San Luis Rey Catholic Church. A mass will be celebrated at 8:30 a.m. Interment will follow at the family plot of the Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers were Eleazar Ramos Jr., Alberto San Miguel III, Valeriano Hernandez III, Marco Antonio Hernandez, Rolando Ramos, Ismael Hernandez, Arnie Treviño, and Emmanuel Treviño.
