Baldemar Gallardo Baldemar Gallardo, 87, passed away on Sunday, February 24, 2013 in Laredo, Texas surrounded by his loving family. Born in Lampazos, Mexico in 1925 and raised in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, he lived most of his life in Laredo, Texas, where he dedicated himself to his family and working in the construction business. Mr. Gallardo was a great provider, wonderful husband, father and grandfather. His sense of humor and character will be dearly missed. Mr. Gallardo is preceded in death by his parents, Francisco and Angelita Gallardo; his loving wife, “Coquita” Gallardo; son, “Bibi” Gallardo; daughter-in-law, Alicia C. Gallardo. He is survived by his daughter, Mary Gallardo; grandchildren, Jose Gallardo, Erika (Robert) Suarez, James Long, Jerry Vasquez, Elizabeth Vasquez, Crystal Salas; great granddaughter, Sabrina Suarez; brother, Francisco Gallardo; also surviving are numerous relatives and friends. A rosary will be recited on Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at 7 p.m. in the Hillside Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at 8:15 a.m. from Hillside Funeral Home to San Jose Catholic Church. A mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Interment will follow at the family plot of the Calvary Catholic Cemetery. A special thank you to Olga Vasquez, Gloria Long, Amelia Salas, Alicia A.
