Hortencia “Mita” Martinez Hortencia Martinez, 86, passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 in Laredo, Texas surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Martinez is preceded in death by her loving husband, Antonio Martinez. She is survived by her children, Antonio (Rossy) Martinez Jr., Patricia M. (Roberto Salinas) Ramos, Veronica (Armando) Hernandez, Frances (Arturo) Perez, Roel Martinez, Lizbeth (Ram Zapata) Martinez and Arnulfo (Rossana) Zapata Jr.; grandchildren, Gina (Ivan Salazar ) Martinez, Nino (Angie) Ramos, Tony (Gaby) Ramos, Ronnie (Robert) Dominguez, Armando Hernandez, Brian, Jason and Priscilla Martinez, Sirena, Justine and Ashley Martinez; great grandchildren, Ricky (Krishna), Christopher, Matthew, Ashley, Steven, Sean, Ayden, Shelby, Caleb and Serenity; great great grandchildren, Ricky V. III; also surviving are numerous relatives and friends. A rosary will be recited on Thursday, March 14, 2013 at 7 p.m. in the Hillside Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 15, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. from Hillside Funeral Home to San Martin de Porres Catholic Church. A mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at the family plot of the Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Arnulfo V. Zapata Jr., Saturnino Ramos III, Antonio Ramos, Armando Hernandez Jr., Brian Martinez, Ricky Vasquez Jr., Roberto Dominguez and Ivan Salazar. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Antonio Martinez Jr. and Roel Martinez. Special thanks to Dr. Rogelio Garcia Cavazos and Nurses on Wheels of Laredo for their compassionate care provided to our mother.
