Daniel B. Hastings

Daniel B. Hastings, Jr. was called to be with his creator on April 12, 2013. He was preceded in death by his father, Daniel B. Hastings, Sr., his sister, Jovita Lorraine Hastings (Fred) Walker, Grandparents Hastings and Martinez and numerous uncles and aunts on both the paternal and maternal sides of the family. He is survived by his mother, Irma M. Hastings, his wife of 36 years, Gloria V. Montemayor Hastings, his children, Daniel B. Hastings III (Lucina), V. Nicole Hastings, David B. Hastings; his grandchildren Daniel B. Hastings IV and Dylan B. Hastings, as well as his sisters Sandra Gail Hastings, Cynthia D. Hastings Regius (Fred), Irma E. (Sister) Hastings, Elizabeth Y. Hastings (Joseph Martinez) and other sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, cousins and their families. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 9350 Amber Avenue, Laredo, TX, 78045, from 2:00 p.m. until 5:30 pm. The Holy Rosary will be said at 6:00 pm, and the funeral Mass will be held immediately following the Rosary. There will be a private burial for family only at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks if anyone would care to assist in the last and ongoing project begun and undertaken by Daniel B. Hastings, Jr., donations may be made in his name to the Divine Mercy Catholic Church Building Fund for the building of the Church rectory.
