Guillermo Martinez Guillermo Martinez, 63, passed away on July 20, 2013 in Laredo, Texas. Willie was born on December 12, 1949 in Laredo, where he lived most of his life. He was a kind, wonderful and affectionate man who enjoyed being surrounded by family and friends. Willie’s pride and joy was his wife and daughters who were always part of his conversation. He will be remembered by many as a man who brought a smile to everyone’s face. Mr. Martinez is preceded in death by his parents, Guillermo and Victoria Martinez. He is survived by his loving wife, Imelda L. Martinez; daughters, Alina Martinez and Alissa Martinez; siblings, Consuelo (Efrain) Vera, Rosa (Juan) Ortiz, Santiago Martinez . Also surviving are numerous relatives and friends. A rosary will be recited on Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. in the Hillside Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 25, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. from Hillside Funeral Home to St. Patrick Catholic Church. A mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the family plot of the Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Ramiro Luna Jr., Efrain Vera, Alex Reyes, Eduardo Gonzalez, Albert J. Martinez and Stevie Vera. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Santiago Martinez and Juan Alberto Castillo.
