Pilar Macias Paredes Pilar Macias Paredes, 78, passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 2013 in Laredo, Texas. Born in Parras, Mexico, Pilar grew up loving to sing at parties, get-togethers and the church choir. She was a wonderful and giving person, who loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Her smile and laughter would brighten everyone’s day. We will truly miss her in our daily lives but memories will always remain in our hearts. Pilar is preceded in death by her parents, Francisco Macias and Maria del Refugio Macias; brothers, Jose Cruz Macias, Vicente Macias, Francisco Macias, Rodolfo Macias. She is survived by her children, Peter (Wimberly) Venegas, Enrique (Josefina) San Miguel, Martha (Arnoldo) Samaniego, and Rosalinda (Daniel) Garza; grandchildren, Arnold Samaniego, Rogelio Samaniego, Daniel Osvaldo Garza, Linda Azenette Garza-Ceballos, Christian Garza- Flores, Enrique San Miguel Jr, Jessica San Miguel, Viktoria Venegas, Crystal Venegas; great grandchildren, Ayden Venegas, Nathan Herrera, Luis Alexis Lozano, Regina Ceballos, Victor Ceballos, Alejandra San Miguel, Enrique San Miguel, Santiago San Miguel; siblings, Gloria Macias, Agustin Macias, Pedro Macias, Julian Macias as well as numerous relatives and friends. A rosary will be recited on Thursday, September 12, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. in the Hillside Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 13, 2013 at 8:45 a.m. from Hillside Funeral Home to Divine Mercy Catholic Church. A mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow at the City of Laredo Cemetery.
