Maria Antonietta Gonzalez Maria Antonietta Gonzalez, 85, went to be with our Lord on Saturday, September 21, 2013 in Laredo, Texas. Mrs. Gonzalez is preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years on August 28, 2012. She is survived by her children, Jose G. (Guadalupe) Gonzalez and Raquel (Jesus) Lopez Jr. She is also survived by her eight grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren with another one due in a few weeks as well as other relatives and many friends. Maria Antonietta Gonzalez was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She worked at Woolworth’s (Snack-bar) for 14 years. After her retirement she decided to sell plants in which she had a ‘green thumb’ and loved planting all kinds of plants. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. A chapel service will be held on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Hillside Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. There will be no formal procession, please meet at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jose G. Gonzalez, Jose G. Gonzalez Jr., Jesus Lopez III, Andy Gonzalez, David J. England and Rolando Cadena Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Jesus Lopez Jr., Rolando Cadena, and Roy Gonzalez and Michael Hess.
