Maria de la Luz Inocencio Maria de la Luz Inocenio, 88, passed away on Friday, October 11, 2013 in Laredo, Texas. Mrs. Inocencio was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and daughter. Mom had a great sense of humor and loved to joke with her grandchildren and children. She loved to shop all day. She enjoyed cooking for everyone, especially on special occasions. She was always ready to listen to anyone who needed advice. She was a strong lady who always stood her ground with her beliefs. She will be missed dearly. Mrs. Inocencio is preceded in death by her husband, Ignacio Inocencio and her granddaughter, Lisette Inocencio. She is survived by her children, Ignacio (Lupe) Inocencio Jr., Roberto (Irene) Inocencio, Alicia (Mike) Buruato, Cristina Inocencio, Sylvia Aguilar, Marta Rosa (Gary) Miranda Heist, and Daniel (Josefina) Inocencio; grandchildren and great grandchildren, Ignacio Inocencio III, Yvonne, Lizette, Marcus, Miguel A. Buruato Jr., Marco C. Buruato, Cynthia M. Nixon, Lisa Buruato, Jorge Borrego, and Veronica Borrego. She is also survived her mother, Juana Gamez and sisters, Lupe Hawkins, Ana Perez, Eva Rios, and Francisca Gama. A rosary will be recited on Sunday, October 13, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. in the Hillside Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 14, 2013 at 8:00 a.m. from Hillside Funeral Home to San Luis Rey Catholic Church. A mass will be celebrated at 8:30 a.m. Interment will follow at the family plot of the Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Alexander Aguilar, Cristian Aguilar, Daniel Inocencio, Mikey Buruato, Marco Buruato, Jorge Borrego, Robert Inocencio, and Ignacio Inocencio. The family would like to thank Esmeralda L. Galvez, R.N. and all nurses from Altus Hospice for their devotion and compassion with our mother and family.
