Crispin Gonzalez On October 21, 2013 we said goodbye to a very special person. Crispin Gonzalez was and will always be a caring father to his two daughters, a loving husband to his wife, and a loyal friend to those who surrounded him. He loved his family dearly and had great respect and love for his country. He lived every day of his life by a motto few will ever understand – Semper Fi, Semper Fideles. He was always faithful to the Lord, to his family, and to his country. He was a proud member of the United States Marine Corps and served his country proudly and fearlessly as Sergeant of the 2nd Battalion, 13th Marines, 5th Marine Division during the Vietnam War from 1967-1969. He dedicated 24 years to the youth of Laredo as a teacher at Lamar Middle School. Mr. Gonzalez is preceded in death by his mother, Paula Reyes Gonzalez; daughter, Crystal Gonzalez; brothers, Angel Gonzalez and Sabino Gonzalez. He is survived by his wife, Belem Gonzalez; his daughters, Carina and Carolina Gonzalez; his brothers, Jose Ricardo and Delfino Gonzalez; his sisters, Maria del Rosario Gonzalez, Bertha Baez, and Guadalupe Reyes as well as numerous relatives and friends.
