Roel Martinez Roel Martinez, 51, passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2013 in San Antonio, Texas. He was well loved, well respected, and was widely known for being an outstanding automotive technician and a jack of all trades. His passion for cars was his motivation and desire to work in the automotive field. He graduated Dean’s List at TSTC Waco, Texas with a degree in Automotive Technology. He then went on to work for Paul Young Chevrolet as a Master Certified Technician. Later, he worked for NTB and Kent Enterprises in San Antonio, Texas. He concluded his working career at MB Technology as their Shop Foreman. Roel’s work ethic, passion, knowledge and aptitude made him highly successful in his life and working career. He was the kind of person that would give the shirt off his back to help out a stranger. He will forever be loved and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Mr. Martinez is preceded in death by his loving parents, Antonio and Hortencia Martinez. He is survived by his daughters, Sirena Alexandra Martinez, Justine Lindsay (Taylor James Warner) Martinez, Ashley Nicole Martinez; grandchildren, Serenity Hope, Aiden Julian, Caleb Dyllan; brothers and sisters, Antonio (Rossy) Martinez Jr., Patricia M. ( Roberto Salinas) Ramos, Veronica (Armando) Hernandez, Francis (Arturo) Perez, Lizbeth (Ram Zapata) Martinez, Arnulfo V. (Rossana) Zapata Jr.; nieces and nephews, Veronica “Ronnie” (Roberto) Hernandez, Gina (Ivan) Salazar, Nino (Angie) Ramos, Tony (Gaby) Ramos, Armando Hernandez Jr., Brian Martinez, Jason Martinez, Priscilla Martinez; great nieces and nephews, Ricky (Krishna) V. Jr., Christopher ,Mathew, Ashley, Kiana, Diego, Rey, Steven, Sean; great great nephew, Ricky V. III; lifelong friend, J.M. Lozano. A rosary will be recited on Friday, December 6, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. in the Hillside Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A chapel service will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2013 at 9:00 a.m. at Hillside Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the family plot of the Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Arnulfo V. Zapata Jr., Ivan Salazar, Ricky Vasquez Jr., Tony Ramos, Nino Ramos, Ram Zapata, Taylor James Warner and Brian Martinez.
