Jose Enrique Flores

Jose Enrique Flores Sr. Mr. Jose Enrique Flores Sr., 91, passed away on Friday, December 6, 2013 in Laredo, Texas. Mr. Flores was born in Laredo, Texas on November 28, 1922. He was employed by the City of Laredo in the Laredo Public Works Department until his retirement in 1983. Mr. Flores is preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years, Romana Diaz Flores; parents, Mariano and Aurelia Flores; and parents-in-law, Antonio and Petra Diaz. He is survived by his children, Mariano D. (Amelia) Flores, Arnulfo (Guadalupe R.) Flores, Jose Enrique (Norma) Flores Jr., Zulema F. (Alberto) Garcia, Reymundo Flores, Norma F. (Armando) Garcia, Julia (Gregorio) Flores; brother-in-law, Celestino Diaz; and sisters-in-law, Josefa Mendoza, Simona Diaz, and Dora Flores. He is also survived by his 22 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson. A rosary will be recited on Monday, December 9, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. in the Hillside Funeral Chapel. A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at 8:00 a.m. from Hillside Funeral Home to San Luis Rey Catholic Church. A mass will be celebrated at 8:30 a.m. Interment will follow at the family plot of the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
