Benito Lopez

Benito Lopez Sr. Benito Lopez Vedia died at the age of 95 on Tuesday, April 22, 2014. He was born on March 21, 1919 in Vallecillo, Nuevo Leon, Mexico.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Severo and Petrita Lopez and by his daughter, Magdalena Lopez de Nochebuena.   He is survived by his wife, Maria Selvia Lopez and his son Benito Lopez Jr.  He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, Benito III, Alejandro, Jose Luis and Magdalena Lopez and Sergio, Elizabeth, Leiza and Daniel Nochebuena as well as 12 great grandchildren, Tommy, Neveah, Alonzo, Cameron, Bella, Giselle, Liliana, Paulina, Cristian, Jasmin, Abigail, and Austin. We will miss your smile. A rosary will be recited on Thursday, April 24, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. in the Hillside Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 25, 2014 at 8:30 a.m. from Hillside Funeral Home to Mother Cabrini Catholic Church. A mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Military honors will be provided by the American Legion Post 59 Honor Guard. Interment will follow at the family plot of the City of Laredo Cemetery.
