JOSE BARRON JR. Jose Barron Jr., 71, died Sunday, May 4, 2014 at a local hospital, surrounded by his family. He was a graduate of Martin High School, and served proudly in the United States Air Force. He was employed by the Laredo Fire Department. He is preceded in death by his brothers, Manuel Barron, Ruben Barron and Antonio Barron; his parents, Jose and Eloisa Barron. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Hilda Barron; sons, Joe Dino (Elsa) Barron, Michael (Gabriela) Barron, and Richard (Kristina) Barron; grandchildren, Dino Alejandro Barron, Carolina Barron, Sophia Barron, Mikey Barron, Fernando Augustine Barron, and Sergio Amadeus Barron. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Jesus Barron, Eligio Barron, Roberto Barron, Alfredo Barron, Maria Elena De Leon, Juanita Gonzalez, Marcela Leyva, Patricia Perez and Leticia Chapa. Also surviving him are numerous nieces and nephews.     A rosary will be recited on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. in the Hillside Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 8, 2014 at 8:30 a.m. from Hillside Funeral Home to San Martin de Porres Catholic Church. A mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the City of Laredo Cemetery.
