Fidelia Gomez

Fidelia C. Gomez Mrs. Fidelia C. Gomez born April 24, 1910 went to be with our Lord and Savior on May 11, 2014 in Laredo, Texas at the age of 104. Our mother enjoyed playing the piano especially Christian music and tending to her garden. Mrs. Gomez is preceded in death by her parents, Pablo and Dominga Cadena; and her beloved husband, Miguel Gomez Sr.; her sons, Jorge and Miguel Jr. and daughter, Emma Juarez; granddaughters, Julissa D’Anne and Melissa Gomez. She is survived by her children, Maria Luisa (Jesus) Guerrero, Ricardo (Sara) Gomez, Ramiro (Otilia) Gomez, Rosario (BenI) Ramirez, Armando Gomez, and Lupita (David) Arriaga. She was blessed with 29 grandchildren, 60 great-grandchildren, and 45 great-great grandchildren. A rosary will be recited on Friday, May 16, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. in the Hillside Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at 8:00 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. All guests wishing to attend, please meet at the church. Interment will follow at the family plot of the Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Pablo Cadena, Ramiro Gomez, David Martinez, Ricardo G. Gomez, Rene Gomez, Hector Juarez Jr., Joel Guerrero and John Michael Arriaga.
