Martha Garza

Martha Elva Garza, 58, passed away on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 in Laredo, Texas. She worked at Laredo Independent School District for 18 years with Santo Niño Elementary School. She is preceded in death by her parents, Gloria and Pedro Mendez; son, Juan Antonio “Yoyo” Garza; brother, Rodolfo Mendez. She is survived by her loving husband, Hector Garza; children, Jose Hector (Elizabeth) Garza and Linda (Aldo) Martinez; grandchildren, Alyssa, Ethan, Dahlia, Iliana, and Elisa; brother and sister, Tony Benavides and Julie Cavazos as well as numerous relatives and friends. A rosary will be recited on Thursday, May 29, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. in the Hillside Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 30, 2014 at 8:00 a.m. from Hillside Funeral Home to San Luis Rey Catholic Church. A mass will be celebrated at 8:30 a.m. Interment will follow at the family plot of the Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Hector Garza, Jose Hector Garza, Aldo Martinez, Ethan Garza, Sonny Garza, Juan Garza, Heriberto Garza, and Ernesto Garza.
