Edna Carlene Salinas Mrs. Edna Carlene Salinas, 86, passed away on August 17, 2014 in Uvalde, Texas. Mrs. Salinas had an outgoing personality and humor that inspired laughter in others, she loved to travel, and was devoted to her family. Mrs. Salinas is preceded in death by her husband, Ramon Rolando Salinas; sister, Betty Eloise Reid; and sister-in-law, Norma Garcia. She is survived by her sons, Raymond R. (Mary Kay) Salinas, and David Michael (Irma Longoria) Salinas; grandchildren, Jay Michael Salinas, Angela Maria (Ian) Casey, Alexander David Salinas, Krista Leigh Salinas, and Amanda Lynn Salinas; great-grandchildren, Mya Casey and Finn Casey. She is also survived by her brother, Eulon Reid; sisters, Helen Long, Jewel Loretta (Bill) Jackson; brother-in-law, Hector Mario (Priscilla) Salinas; and sisters-in-law, Irma Valdez and Sylvia (Fernando) Cruz. A rosary will be recited on Friday, August 22, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. in the Hillside Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2014. A chapel service will be held 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the family plot of the City of Laredo Cemetery.
