Margarita L. Martinez Margarita L. Martinez was born on March 4, 1931 and died peacefully in her home on Monday, September 1, 2014 in Laredo, Texas at the age of 83. She was retired from Joe Brand, where she worked for over 25 wonderful years. She was the light of all those who loved her and she will forever be remembered for her generous heart and her beautiful spirit. She is preceded in death by her parents, Leonides and Maria G. Lerma; and her brothers and sisters. Mrs. Martinez is survived by her children, Maricela (Ricardo) Rangel, Roberto Mario Martinez, Eduardo (Delia) Martinez, Ada (Reynaldo) Herrera, Jorge (Missy) Martinez, Carlos (Belinda) Martinez; grandchildren, Rebecca, Christina, Amanda, Alejandra, Gabriela, Gloria, Matthew, Andy, Madison , Catherine, Nicholas, Kaitlyn and great grandchild, Skylar Nicole. A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 5, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the Hillside Funeral Home Chapel. A rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Services will conclude at the chapel.
