Carmen Jasso Mrs. Carmen Jasso, age 74, passed away on November 6, 2014 in San Antonio, Texas surrounded by her loved ones. Carmen was a devoted wife, loving mother, an exceptional grandmother; and she absolutely adored her great-granddaughter. Carmen loved to dance, cook, sing, pray the rosary, and enjoyed being surrounded by her dear family. She will be greatly missed and her memory will live forever in their hearts. Mrs. Jasso is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Leandro Jasso; parents, Margarita Benavides and Martin Gonzalez; and mother-in-law, Juanita Jasso Ortiz. She is survived by her children, Juan Jorge (Marisela) Jasso, Carmen (Dallas) Plattner, Leandro (Lorraine) Jasso Jr., Lilia (Lin) Jasso-Arington, and Joe Jasso; grandchildren, Emy Jasso, Analee Jasso, Pamela Lewis, Meagan Prew, Dallas Plattner Jr., Jason Jasso, Andrew Jasso, Sean Arington, Lin Arington IV, Brent Arington, Joe Jasso Jr., Mark Jasso, and Alysha Jasso; great-granddaughter, McKenzie Padilla. She is also survived by her siblings. A rosary will be recited on Monday, November 10, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. in the Hillside Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at 8:30 a.m. from Hillside Funeral Home to Mother Cabrini Catholic Church. A mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the family plot of the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
