Virginia Carpentier Casarez Virginia Carpentier Casarez, 77, passed away on Friday, November 14, 2014 in Laredo, Texas. Mrs. Casarez is preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Rosa Carpentier ; loving husband, Juan Manuel Casarez, Sr.; sons, Juan Manuel Casarez, Jr. and David Casarez; siblings, Ramon (Jesusa) Carpentier, Hector Carpentier, Cruz B. Segura and Antonio (Ernesto) Guerra. She is survived by her children, Julie (Hector) Huerta, Arturo (Belinda) Casarez, Anna Laura (Ricardo) Garcia and Robert (Imelda) Casarez; siblings, Santos (Miguel +) Perez, Alejandro (Maria) Carpentier, Porfil (Juan) Moreno and Herminia (Rosendo) Rodriguez; brother in law, Ramiro Segura; daughters in law, Amparo Casarez and Cordy Cruz. Also surviving are grandchildren, great grandchildren and numerous relatives and friends. She will be greatly missed. A vigil will be held on Sunday, November 16, 2014 at 6:30 p.m. in the Hillside Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 17, 2014 at 8:30 a.m. from Hillside Funeral Home to Holy Family Catholic Church. A mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the family plot of the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
