Encarnacion “Chon” Perales Mr. Encarnacion “Chon” Perales, 85, passed away on Monday, January 12, 2015 in Laredo, Texas. Mr. Perales was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was married for 59 years to the love of his life. After the loss of his father at a young age, he shared in providing for his mother and siblings. He later joined the United States Military and served his country with humility and pride. At home Mr. Perales enjoyed spending time with his family. He was an avid softball player and loved to sing and dance. He was known by family and friends for his sense of humor, many catch phrases and his infectious smile. He was a man of faith. For the majority of his life, he worked for CPL, working for 29 years, until retirement. While he may have not been a boastful man, he was but a Shepherd to those who knew him. His quiet demeanor is not timidness but silent wisdom. He was forever watchful, patient and prudent: for his flock was never in danger. We are honored to know that our Shepherd will continue to be with us through memory and spirit. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Lydia S. Perales; parents, Serapio and Aurora Perales; sister, Maria Antonia Arredondo; brother, Heriberto (Julie) Perales; sister in law, Minerva Ochoa. Mr. Perales is survived by his children, Ricardo (Annabell) Perales, Diana (Jaime) Rodriguez, Rene (Olga) Perales, Daniel (Tani Ann) Perales, Nora Lydia Garza; grandchildren, Drina Sanders, Elisa Vargas, Christiann Perales, Diana Melissa (Rene) Ramos, Rebecca Rodriguez-Dunn (Joshua Dunn), Jaime David (Shaye) Rodriguez, Selina Sanchez, Rene Perales II, Daniel Perales II, Nicholas Perales, Khiry Adam Perales, Jessica M.
