Antonietta H. Garza Mrs. Antonietta H. Garza entered into eternal rest on Thursday, February 12, 2015 in Laredo, Texas, at the age of 94, surrounded by her beloved family. She was a devout Catholic, dedicated mother, a loving grandmother, and an adoring great-grandmother. She was the matriarch of the Garza family. To quite a few people, she was known as Toni but to her loved ones she was simply known as mom. Antonietta proudly volunteered with the Mercy Hospital Auxillary for over 25 years. She genuinely loved helping others and sharing the many blessings in her life. When she was not volunteering, she spent her free time playing Bunco, attend Birthday Club gatherings and sewing. She was an avid traveler; she enjoyed cruises and international voyages. Toni had an impeccable memory; she loved to share stories and reminisce of her younger years. She was married to Rosalio “Chalio” Garza, Jr, the love of her life. They owned several Garza Texaco Gasoline Stations. They were quite the socialite couple; going to dances, parties and gatherings. She lost her beloved husband on Thursday, February 12, 1970. 45 years later, they reunited in Heaven to continue their love story. Mrs. Garza is preceded in death by her husband, Rosalio “Chalio” Garza Jr; daughter, Olga G. Martinez; and son, Rodolfo Fernando Garza. She is survived by her children, Rosalio “Chalio” (Lydia) Garza III, David Garza, Gloria I. Garza, Diana G. (Remigio) Gonzalez; daughter-in-law, Laura G. Garza; and son-in-law, David I. Martinez.
