Alicia R. Martinez Mrs. Alicia R. Martinez passed away on Sunday, February 22, 2015 in Laredo, Texas, at the age of 86. Mrs. Martinez is preceded in death by her husband, Maximino Martinez; her parents, Bernardo & Andrea Ramirez; sisters, Elena Kawas, Librada Escobedo; brothers, Bernardo Ramirez, Benito Ramirez, Rafael Ramirez, Alberto Ramirez and Crecensio Ramirez; and grandson, Cesar Antonio Gonzalez. She is survived by her daughters, Alicia Martinez, Maria Teresa Paz, Sylvia (Jon) Wamsley of Alabama, Andrea (Enrique) Gonzalez of California; son, Gonzalo (Carol) Martinez of Washington; grandchildren, Carlos, Eduardo, Camille, Josue, Audrey, and Kristian; one great-granddaughter, Katherine. She is also survived by her sister, Rosa Rocha as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A rosary will be recited on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. in the Hillside Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. from Hillside Funeral Home to San Martin de Porres Catholic Church. A mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow to the City of Laredo Cemetery.
