Emma P. Granger Mrs. Emma P. Granger of Laredo entered into eternal rest on Sunday April 5, 2015, surrounded by her children and their families. She was born on July 17, 1930 to Joaquin and Maria Luisa Perez. Mrs. Granger is preceded in death by her husband, Guillermo (Willie) Granger, her sisters, Carlota Botello and Berenice Dumbauskas and her parents. She is survived by her children, Cynthia (Frank J. Saldaña Jr.); Diana L. Granger (William H. Alberts); Guillermo Granger Jr. and Emma Granger (Rolando Montalvo); 11 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. Emma and her husband owned and operated J. F. Villarreal & Co., Inc., a forwarding agency, for over 40 years. They liked to travel with family and with friends, and frequently visited regions throughout Mexico and the United States. Emma also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Emma is remembered affectionately for her endless energy, and her loving and positive attitude. She always had a beautiful and quick smile for her family and friends. Her children would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Rafael Deliz and Dr. Humberto Varela for their compassion and invaluable medical insights. A rosary will be recited on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 7:30 p.m. in the Hillside Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A memorial mass and burial will be held at a later date.
