Evita G. Gonzalez Mrs. Evita G. Gonzalez, of Laredo, entered into eternal rest on July 13, 2015 surrounded and supported by her loving family and caregivers. She was born on June 2, 1926 in Baytown, Tx to Andres Gonzalez and Regina Benavides Gonzalez. Evita spent her life in selfless service to others, as a loving and dedicated daughter, sister, aunt, wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved having company at home and always made everyone feel so special with her outstanding cooking and welcoming ways. All who came to meet her got a dose of one of her warm and loving hugs. She and her adoring husband, Adrian, enjoyed extensive travels throughout the world during their more than 50 years of marriage and formed lifelong friendships from these travels. Together they raised a beautiful family, and always taught us the importance of loving and honoring the Lord and Mother Mary. Mrs. Gonzalez is preceded in death by his parents, Andres (Regina) Gonzalez; husband, Adrian Gonzalez; brothers and sisters, Onofre Gonzalez, Elisa Gonzalez de Valle, Andres Gonzalez, Luciano Gonzalez, Francisco Gonzalez and Guadalupe Gonzalez; and grandchild, Jose Luis Neira Jr. She is survived by her children, Martin Eduardo Gonzalez, Adrian Andres (Adriana) Gonzalez, Sergio Alonso (Sara) Gonzalez, and Eva Elena (Jose Luis) Neira; grandchildren, Adrian Andres Gonzalez Jr., Ivanna Mariela Gonzalez, Melissa Denise (Bob) Peck, Sergio Alonso Gonzalez Jr., Ricardo Andres Gonzalez, Evelyn Regina (Johnny) Arias, Karina Renee Gonzalez, Gyselle Celine Neira, and Kaylee Janelle Neira. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Maria de la Luz Montemayor. Evita leaves behind a legacy of love, dedication, honor and family values. She will be dearly missed. A rosary will be recited on Thursday, July 16, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. in the Hillside Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 17, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. from Hillside Funeral Home to St. Patrick Catholic Church. A mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow to the Calvary Catholic Cemetery. The family would like to thank her ever present and loving caregivers Sarita Olivares, Julieta (Venegas) Ornelas, and Letty Gutierrez for their dedication, patience, and love for our mother.
