Antonio G. Torres

Antonio G. Torres, 93, went to his heavenly home peacefully on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 in Laredo, Texas. Mr. Torres was born in Guadalajara, Jalisco. He proudly served in the Airforce 401st Airborne. He had a wonderful sense of humor that made people feel very welcome. Mr. Torres was always willing to experience new adventures. He is preceded in death by his mother Maria G. Torres; wife, Emma V. Torres; and brother Salvador Torres. Mr. Torres is survived by his children Antonio (Imelda) Torres Jr., Homero Torres, Hector V. (Mary Rose) Torres, Norma Alicia (Mitch) Taylor; grandchildren, Michael Torres, Kristina A. Torres, Mark A. Torres, Claudia (Justin) Jacobson, Hector A. Torres, Bianca Torres, Mitchell Taylor, Stephen Taylor, and Gregory Taylor; great-grandchild, Khloe Hernandez. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. A rosary will be recited on Friday, November 13, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. in the Hillside Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. from Hillside Funeral Home Chapel to Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. A mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the family plot of the Calvary Catholic Cemetery. The family would like to extend their sincere thanks and gratitude to Chelo and Ernesto Cervantes for taking such great care of our father for many years.
