Oscar Daniel Hein, 58, of Laredo, Texas, passed away, Friday, April 1, 2016 at his home in Rockport, Texas. Oscar was an extremely hard working man who was passionate about providing for his family and excelling as a self-employed man in the oil field. He spent his free time working on his ranch and spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. He loved to cook, hunt, and in his words, “just chill”. Mr. Hein was preceded in death by his mother, Kathleen S Hein; father, James Henry Hein Sr.; and brother, James Henry Hein Jr. He is survived by his wife, Kayce Hein; daughters, Samantha Hein, Kathleen (Joshua) McWilliams, Allison (Thomas) Gray; step-daughters, Lendsy Kortis, and Taylor Hensley; step-son, Hunter Hensley; grandchildren, Rhiannon Penna, Brayden JohnDaniel Gray, Paisley Marie Gray, and Harper McWilliams; sisters, Sandra A (Michael) Pelkey, Mary C (Hugo Sergio) Garcia, Linda (Sergio) Dominguez, Jennifer (David) Langenberg; numerous other relatives and close friends A vigil will be held on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. in the Hillside Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, April 6, 2016, at 9:15 a.m. from the Hillside Funeral Home to St. John Neumann Catholic Church. A mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow at the City of Laredo Cemetery.
