Maria Elena Martinez, 81, passed away on Tuesday, December 06, 2016 in Laredo, Texas. Miss Martinez is preceded in death by her parents, Blas Martinez and Elvira Gonzalez de Martinez; brothers, Roberto (Hilda) Martinez, Rodolfo Martinez. She is survived by her sisters, Manuela (Ernest) Barton, Elvira M. (Alejandro) Gutierrez; sister-in-law, Acela Martinez. Miss Martinez is also survived by nieces, nephews, other family and friends. A rosary will be recited on Thursday, December 8, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. in the Hillside Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 9, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. from Hillside Funeral Home to Christ the King Catholic Church. A mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the family plot of the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
