Bobby Lee Shinn

Bobby Lee Shinn, 85, passed away on Friday, December 9, 2016 in Laredo, Texas surrounded by his loving family. He lived his life dedicated to God, his wife, his family and his country. He is preceded in death by his parents, George Ivey Shinn, Zelia Shinn and Irene Shinn; son, Richard Shinn; sister, Betty Murray; and brother Billy Shinn. He is survived by his loving wife Mary of 60 years of marriage; brother, George Ivey Shinn, Jr.; sister, Patricia Widenhouse; children, Gerald Shinn, Edward Shinn, David (Melissa) Shinn, Veronica (Mike) Connor and Philip (Carrie) Shinn. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren Philip, Patrick, Amanda, Meagan, Matthew, Thomas and Richard; 4 great-grandchildren, Lily Rose, Jordan, Colton and Danni Rae, other relatives and friends. A rosary will be recited on Sunday, December 11, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. in the Hillside Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 12, 2016 at 8:15 a.m. from Hillside Funeral Home to St. John Neumann Catholic Church. A mass will be celebrated at 8:30 a.m. Interment will follow at the family plot of the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
