Ignacia Solis

Ignacia Solis, 103, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 in Laredo, Texas. Ms. Solis retired from S.H.Kress where she worked for 30 years. She was a Mercy Hospital Auxiliary, Holy Family volunteer, and a member of Hijas de Maria. She is preceded in death by her parents, Melchor Solis and Ignacia R. Solis; siblings, Hilario Solis , Antonia Esparza, Andrea Campos, Francisca Del Toro, Leonor Sanchez, and Conrado Solis. Ms. Solis is survived by her sister, Delia Sanchez; nephews and nieces, Hilario (Gloria) Solis, Ofelia (Narciso) Rocha, Sylvia Solis, Jose Angel (Sylvia) Solis,Roberto (Claudina) Solis, Veronica (Jose) Almanzan,Rogelio Sanchez, and Alicia (Pedro)Franco. She is also survived by other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. A vigil will be held on Friday, February 10, 2017 at 6:30 p.m. in the Hillside Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. from Hillside Funeral Home to Holy Family Catholic Church. A mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow at the family plot of the Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be, Jesse Sanchez Jr., Noel Sanchez, Jose Angel Solis Jr., Roberto Solis, Hilario Solis III., Celena Sanchez, and Mario Sanchez Jr. Honorary Pallbearers will be, Narcisco Rocha, Hilario Solis Jr., Mario Sanchez, and Jose Angel Solis.
