Oscar Humberto Landin
Our beloved father went peacefully to be with the Lord on Monday, June, 26, 2017 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was a World War II Veteran and served in the United States Army and Merchant Marines. He was honorably discharged from the United States Military Service. Mr. Landin was a man with a heart of gold and was loved by many.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Angelina Landin; daughter, Cynthia Landin; parents, Humberto Landin and Estela S. Landin.
Mr. Landin is survived by his children, Glen Landin, Melissa (Rafael) Chavez, Odette (Luis Manuel) Ramos, Lisette Landin, Michael Landin; grandchildren, Lisa Marie Linn, Luis Manuel Ramos, Jr., Rafael Antonio Chavez, Jr., Manuel Humberto Chavez, Claudia Alyssa Chavez, Jennifer Denise Guerra, Briana Velasquez; great grandchildren, Amber N. Linn, Lawrence H. Linn, Joshua W. Linn, Mathew T. Linn, Alexis A. Guerra, Luis R. Ramos, Hudson J. Chavez, Alfonso Parra III, Maximiliano I. Ramos; brothers, Alvaro (Zulema) Landin and Carlos Landin.
A rosary will be recited on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. in the Hillside Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
A chapel service will be held on Thursday, June 29, 2017 at 8:15 a.m. with Deacon Jerry Morales officiating.
Interment will follow at the family plot of the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Michael Landin, Luis Manuel Ramos, Jr., Lawrence Linn, Rafael Antonio Chavez, Jr., Manuel Humberto Chavez and David Velasquez.
Honorary pallbearers will be Glen Landin, Luis Manuel Ramos and Rafael Chavez.
