Antonia J. Chaires, 91, passed away on Saturday, August 5, 2017 in Laredo, Texas. Mrs. Chaires is preceded in death by her husband, Jesus Chaires; son, Rafael Chaires. She is survived by her children, Refugio Chaires, Juanita Chaires, Margarita Rodarte, Maria Simona (Gregorio) Pineda, Miguel (Josefina) Chaires, Jesus (Rosa) Chaires, Maria Antonia Chaires, Juana Chaires, Martin (Elizabeth) Chaires; sisters, Margarita Gutierrez, Paula Cervantes; brother, Pedro Jimenez. Mrs. Chaires is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. A rosary will be recited on Monday, August 7, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. in the Hillside Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at 8:30 a.m. from Hillside Funeral Home to San Francisco Javier Catholic Church. Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the City of Laredo Cemetery.
