Jose M. Medellin

Jose M. Medellin, 79, passed away on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 in Laredo. Texas. Mr. Medellin honorably served in the U.S Army. He worked for Uniroyal Goodrich for 20 years before his retirement. He is preceded in death by his parents, Policarpio Medellin Jr. and Nieves B. Medellin; brother, Roberto Medellin; sister, Gloria Medellin. Mr. Medellin is survived by his wife Dora Bertha B. Medellin; children, Jose Luis (Alma A.) Medellin, Elsa (Reymundo) Cavazos, Oscar G. (Rosa) Medellin, and Norma Medellin; brothers, Policarpio (Rosa) Medellin, Abelardo ( Marisela) Medellin; grandchildren, Abigail Medellin, Jenny Lee Medellin, Sophia Cavazos, Raymundo Cavazos III., Oscar G. Medellin Jr., Robert Clemente Medellin, and Emily Medellin. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A rosary will be recited on Friday, August 18, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. in the Hillside Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. from Hillside Funeral Home to Christ the King Catholic Church. Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the City of Laredo Cemetery.
