Aaron Lopez

Aaron “Grumpy” Lopez, 23, passed away on Monday, September 24, 2018 in Ridgeland, Mississippi. Aaron was born on March 2, 1995 in Laredo, Texas to mother Jessica Melissa Muniz and father Manuel Julio Lopez. He lived most of his life in Brownsville, Texas and graduated from Porter High School. He often DJ’d at parties and events with local DJs and enjoyed writing music. Mr. Lopez is preceded in death by his grandmother Alma Rosa Lopez. He is survived by his father Manuel Julio (Idania Martinez, stepmother) Lopez; mother, Jessica Melissa Muniz (David Johnson, stepfather). Aaron is also survived by his children, Aaron Lopez Jr., Allison Skie Lopez and his girlfriend, Leslie Aleman, whom he loved very much. Also, his siblings, Manuel Lopez Jr., Alma Cyane Lopez, Jordan Juliette Lopez, Sadie Rose Lopez, and Leunam Lion Lopez; uncles, Rico Lopez, LeeRoy Martinez, and Alejandro Raul Martinez; grandmother, Maria del Rosario Martinez. Mr. Lopez is also survived by other relatives, and friends. A visitation will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Hillside Funeral Home chapel. Departure will be at 11:30 a.m. to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Mass will be celebrated at 12:00 p.m. Services will conclude after mass. A cremation will be held at a later date. Pallbearers will be Manuel Julio Lopez, Rico Lopez, Manuel Lopez Jr., Leslie Aleman, Danny Valdez, David Johnson, and Victor Cavada.
