Alfonso Hinojosa

Alfonso Hinojosa, 92, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, October 11, 2020, in Laredo, Texas.

Mr. Hinojosa is preceded in death by his loving wife, Eulalia Hinojosa; son, Juan de la Cruz; and beloved parents, Jesus and Maria Luisa Hinojosa.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Alfonso Hinojosa Jr., Leticia (Luis+) Villarreal; sister, Lidia (Jose) Saavedra; nephews and nieces, Sergio Saavedra, Norma (Chris) Postell, Mary Lou (Roel) Juarez, Jose Javier (Yolanda) Saavedra, and Gerardo (Ali) Saavedra. Mr. Hinojosa is also survived by countless other relatives and friends.

A rosary will be recited on Friday, October 16, 2020, at 7:00 p.m. in the Hillside Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. For those unable to attend, the service will be live-streamed on the Hillside Funeral Home Facebook page.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2020, at 8:00 a.m. from Hillside Funeral Home to San Luis Rey Catholic Church. A mass will be celebrated at 8:30 a.m.

Interment will follow to the family plot at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the family kindly asks all those wishing to express their condolences in person to maintain social distancing orders, all necessary restrictions will be observed in order to protect the health and safety of those in attendance. In accordance with the city ordinance, the number of visitors will be limited. All visitors must wear face coverings while inside the building. Hand sanitizer is provided upon entry.
