Amelia C. Flores

Amelia C. Flores, 68, passed away on Wednesday, September 2, 2020, in Laredo, Texas, surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Flores is preceded in death by her loving husband, Mariano D. Flores; parents, Candelario and Maria del Socorro Centeno, and brother, Gilberto Centeno.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Ricardo Rene (Rachel) Flores, Lisa Ann Garcia, and Juan Jose (Hilda) Flores; siblings, Candelario (Guadalupe) Centeno Jr., Julia Flores, Elena Fellers, Romana (Alfonso) Gonzalez, Lucy C. Romo Ambrose, Jorge (SanJuanita) Centeno, and Rosa Belia Zamora. Mrs. Flores is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and numerous relatives and friends.

A rosary will be held on Monday, September 7, 2020, at 7:00 p.m. in the Hillside Funeral Home chapel. A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2020, at 8:00 a.m. from Hillside Funeral Home Chapel to San Luis Rey Catholic Church. A mass will be celebrated at 8:30 a.m.

Interment will follow to the family plot of the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be, Rene D. Flores, Jorge Garcia Jr., Ricardo R. Flores Jr. Gustavo Villarreal III, Roel Villarreal, and Jorge Centeno Jr. 

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the family kindly asks all those wishing to express their condolences in person to maintain social distancing orders, all necessary restrictions will be observed in order to protect the health and safety of those in attendance. In accordance with the city ordinance, the number of visitors will be limited. All visitors must wear face coverings while inside building. Hand sanitizer is provided upon entry.
