Ana Maria Hernandez, 67, received her heavenly crown on Wednesday, August 25, 2021, In Round Rock, Texas.

Wowzers! 

What a life mom lived! She helped so many people and tried so many things. Mom’s life was full of fun and adventure.

Go get’em punk! 

Mom loved learning! She even accidentally enrolled herself in a medical microbiology class, but stuck it out and passed the course! She received an associates from Austin Community College in Business Administration. She would go on to achieve Bronze Level certification with Girls Ministries through the Assemblies of God. Her love of learning put her on the path to attend Global University Berean School of the Bible, where she graduated at the top of her class. 

Takes one to know one

Mom had many passions that would take her to explore many hobbies. She knew that the best way to learn something was to just try it. There was the time she...was a cake decorator...was an amateur computerist...was a restaurateur...and of course her most favorite, a photographer. Everywhere she went, her camera followed. There is not an event in existence that she has not photographed! 

Be kind, rewind 

In the mid-90s Mom gave her life to Christ. Her life would be forever changed, she found forgiveness in Christ. She was given new life, and her purpose became to ensure the salvation of her family members. Her boldness for the Gospel has led to gaining many souls for the Kingdom.  

“Therefore I say to you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven, for she loved much; but he who is forgiven little, loves little.” Luke 7:47

Can you imagine 

Can you imagine what one person’s faith can do? Mom would get to know God as provider, healer, comforter, counselor, protector, and so much more. Her steadfast prayers and immovable faith allowed others to see the greatness of God. 

Over my dead cadaver 

Well Mom, I guess we can finally buy that motorcycle, get tattoos, buy a gun, throw that empty butter tub away, not save gift wrapping paper, and turn the TV off!

Mrs. Hernandez is preceded in death by her parents, Francisco R. and Ramona Ledesma; and sister, Maria de Jesus Ledesma.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Juan Luis (Sara) Hernandez, Ana Celia Lerma, and Ada Victoria (Jeremy) Woods; siblings, Rene (Mirna) Ledezma, Juan Jesus (Guillermina) Ledesma, Celia (Francisco) Escamilla, Maria Guadalupe Soto, and Maria Isabel (Jesus M.) Vasquez. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

A prayer service will be held on Saturday, September 4, 2021, at 9:30 a.m. in the Hillside Funeral Home chapel. A visitation will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Interment will follow at the family plot of the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
