Andres “Andy” B. Rosas, 87, entered into eternal rest peacefully on Saturday, April 25, 2020, surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Andy, as everyone knew him, was born in Kenedy, Texas to Andres and Angelina Rosas as the second of three boys. As a young child, his family moved to Anahuac, Mexico where he grew up, and as a young man came to Laredo to find a job to help his family. Due to his confidence and determination, he worked his way from washing cars to managing an Automotive Service Center. His charming smile, optimistic personality, and integrity quickly earned him the owner’s trust and gave him the opportunity to run his own business in the convenience store/service station business. Three Points Texaco. With his hard work and business savvy, he acquired a second business, Andy’s Texaco. He then diversified into the Automotive Air Conditioning Business which he mastered and founded Andy’s Auto Air & Supplies, Inc. He also encouraged and facilitated his sons to open up their own businesses; Fiesta C Store (San Antonio), Andy’s Mobility, Sun Belt Air Condition, and Rotex Truck Center. His entrepreneurship success was attributed to always handling obstacles with a positive attitude and finding solutions. His motto was “Si se puede”. Mr. Andy was a loving husband, a proud father of six boys, and a grandfather devoted to his family. His passion was hunting and the outdoors. He loved to spend his spare time at the ranch and left many memories to cherish. He is preceded in death by his parents, Andres and Angelina Rosas; son, Andres Rosas Jr., and his two brothers, Manuel Rosas Ortiz and Alfredo Rosas. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Sylvia P Rosas; children, Hector (Olga) Rosas, Rudy (Alicia) Rosas, Robert (Adriana Gonzalez) Rosas, Raul (Francelia) Rosas, and Richard Rosas; his daughter-in-law, Jonna Rosas; sisters-in-law, Maria Concepcion Ortiz and Celia Rosas; beloved friend Raul Vargas; grandchildren, Andrew Rosas, Kathleen Rosas, Elizabeth (Omar) Mascorro, Hector (Eli) Rosas Jr., Erika (Michael) Blake, Daniel (Cassandra) Rosas, Jessica Rosas, Mark Rosas, Karina Rosas, Jacqueline Rosas, Christa Rosas, Steven Rosas, Emily Rosas, Jake Rosas, and Pamela Rosas; and ten great-grandchildren. Mr. Rosas is also survived by numerous other loved relatives and friends. A prayer service will be recited on Wednesday, April 29, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. in the Hillside Funeral Home Chapel.
