On Friday, January 19, 2018, Anita passed away while surrounded by her loved ones. During the 59 years of her marriage with Lloyd, they built their Legacy. For the 17 years after his passing, she affectionately continued to foster the eternal bonds with her loved ones. She will always be lovingly remembered as “Wawa”, “Chiefa”, and “Grandma Vaughn” and she will always be the matriarch of our Family. Mrs. Vaughn is preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd H. Vaughn; daughters, Patricia Ann Vaughn, and Shirley Ann Salinas. She is survived by her children, Lloyd (Laura) Vaughn Jr., Diana (Arnulfo) Santos Jr., and Marylou (Mario) Saenz; brothers, Guillermo “Willie” (Juanita) Herrera, and Porfirio “Pilo” (Estela+) Herrera. Mrs. Vaughn is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A rosary will be recited on Sunday, January 21, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. in the Hillside Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 22, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. from Hillside Funeral Home to St. Patrick Catholic Church. A mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the family plot of the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
