Anthony Salim Farias

Anthony Salim Farias, age 26, left this world suddenly on Sunday, August 26th, in Laredo, Texas. It is true, only the good die young. He was a very caring, sweet and timid young man. Even though he was battling depression, he tried to offset it through music as a very talented pianist and drummer in which he composed many originals. Anthony also was an avid body builder, enthusiastic about living life in harmony through meditation and yoga and always sharing his knowledge to many. He will be greatly missed and will forever live in our hearts. May our guardian angel live in true happiness forever with the Lord.  Anthony is preceded in death by his grandparents Andres Adiel Farias, and Michaela McAfee; uncles, Mike Farias, Eduardo Farias, and Alex Cuellar Jr. He is survived by his parents Andres Antonio Farias, and Veronica Cuellar Leffew; siblings, Christina (Alan) Laurel, Andres Jalil Farias, Lina Samira Farias, Jeremiah Alexander Cuellar, and Abraham Sayeed Farias; grandmother, Maria Habib Farias. Anthony is also survived by his nephew, nieces, and other relatives and friends. A rosary will be recited on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. in the Hillside Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Family and friends will be meeting at San Martin de Porres Catholic Church on Friday, August 31, 2018. Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Services will conclude after mass. Cremation will be held at a later date.
