Our Lord called Antonia Meza, our loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, to heaven on Sunday, February 10, 2019, in Laredo, Texas. We love you Mami and miss you greatly. You will always be in our hearts. She was a Eucharistic Minister, a member of Adoracion Nocturna, taught catechism and led Pre-Cana Sessions with her husband, Juan Meza. She organized and celebrated Christmas Posadas with her community and her family for over 30 years. She is preceded in death by her husband Juan Meza, her mother Gregoria Guzman, and sister, Albina Venegas. Mrs. Meza is survived by her loving children, Rosalinda (William) Pratt, Estela Meza, Teresa Meza, Juan (Myrna) Meza, Gloria (Mike) Memmer, Antonia Meza Sajedi, Ana (Amador) Peña, Delia Lopez (Mario Botello), Guillermo (Leticia) Meza; grandchildren, Dawn Pratt, Joy (Daniel) Speaker, Juan R. Meza, Christina (Mike) Kim, Jessica (Steven) San Pedro, Laurie Peña, Esteban Peña, Nicholas (Monica) Lopez, Monica E. Lopez, Michael Memmer and Jonathan Memmer. She is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren. A rosary will be recited on Wednesday, February 13, 2019, at 7:00 p.m. in the Hillside Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 14, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. from Hillside Funeral Home to the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. A mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at the family plot of the Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers are Juan Meza, Guillermo Meza, Anthony Lopez, Michael Memmer, Mario Botello, Juan R. Meza, Amador Peña, and Bill Pratt.
