Carlos Gutierrez Jr.

Carlos Gutierrez Jr., 87, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at home surrounded by loved ones. Mr. Gutierrez was a lifelong member of St. Joseph’s Church and owner of Ace Glass Company.

Mr. Gutierrez Jr. is preceded in death by his parents, Carlos and Maria Gutierrez; siblings, Josefina Martinez, Guadalupe Gutierrez, and Maria de Jesus Gonzalez.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 59 years, Evangelina Gutierrez; children, Carlos (Elda) Gutierrez III, Eduardo (Patricia ) Gutierrez, and Christina Gutierrez; and grandchildren, Adriana Danielle Gutierrez and Benjamin Wade Gutierrez. Mr. Gutierrez Jr. is also survived by his brother, Arturo Gutierrez, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

The holy rosary will be recited on Tuesday, June 7, 2022, at 7:00 P.M. at the Hillside Funeral Home Chapel. A visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M.

Funeral procession will depart the chapel on Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at 8:45 A.M. to St. Joseph Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:15 A.M.

Pallbearers will be Carlos Gutierrez, III, Eduardo Gutierrez, Benjamin Wade Gutierrez, Simon Reynaldo Villarreal, Arturo Gutierrez, Jr., and Gilberto Gonzalez, II. 

Honorary pallbearers will be Arturo Gutierrez, Gilberto Gonzalez, and Jose Enrique Palacios.

Interment will follow at the family plot at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
