CARLOS REYES

APRIL 10, 1987 – DECEMBER 8, 2022

Carlos Reyes, father, grandfather, uncle, brother and husband, 35, unexpectedly passed away, December 08, 2022 and now rests peacefully in the kingdom of Heaven. He was born in Laredo, Texas on April 10, 1987, and was raised by his mother Sofia and father Higinio Reyes in this small town with brothers: Higinio Guillermo Reyes Jr, Salvador Reyes; sisters: Esmeralda, Carolina, Elizabeth and Selena Reyes, before leaving to Dallas to pursue a happy life with his wife, Sandra Reyes and children Sofie and Melanie Reyes; step children: Michelle Romo, Luis Hernandez, Valerie, Michael & Skye Torres and Arleen Bryand. Carlos proved himself to be a hardworking father and always put his family first. He loved to spend time outdoors with his family which include activities such as fishing, having a cookout and traveling to beaches. He enjoyed special events such as wrestling matches, concerts and football games. Carlos was known to be a joyful, caring and down to earth. As so many can attest, Carlos was always someone who loved to help those in need.

He was preceded in death by, Julia Ortiz (Grandmother) and Higinio Reyes Martinez (Father). He will be greatly missed by his loving family and will always remain in our hearts. 

The family will receive condolences on Monday, December 19, 2022 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Hillside Funerals and Cremations, 310 W. Hillside Road, where a vigil of the deceased and Rosary will be offered at 7:00 pm.

Funeral procession will depart the funeral chapel at 8:30 am on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, to Mother Cabrini Catholic Church where a funeral mass will be celebrated at 9:0 0am.

Pallbearers will be: Higinio Guillermo Reyes Jr., Salvador Reyes, Luis Hernández, Rogelio Romo, Michael Torres, Saúl Espinoza, Joel Rodríguez, Jesús and Steven Mercado.

A cremation will follow at a later date.
