Catalina Parra De La Rosa, 90, passed away on Friday, July 6, 2018 in Laredo, Texas. Mrs. Parra De La Rosa was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend. She was a seamstress since the age of 8. She was devoted to god and was a Guadalupana for San Luis Rey Catholic Church for 50 years. Mrs. Parra De La Rosa will be remembered by all who love her. Mrs. Parra De La Rosa is preceded in death by her husband Antonio O. De La Rosa. She is survived by her children, Yolanda+ (Alfredo) Sanchez, Maria Aida (Enrique+) Carballo Jr., Antonio (Raquel) De La Rosa III, Sylvia (Noe) Martinez Jr., Noe (Rosalinda) De La Rosa, Diana De La Rosa, Rene (Diana) De La Rosa, Alma (Alejandro) Villarreal, Blanca De La Rosa, Daniel (Cynthia) De La Rosa, and Patricia De La Rosa (Vicente Ibarra); children raised by Mrs. De La Rosa, Gilberto Parra Jr., Betty Parra, Javier Parra, and Norma J. Parra; siblings, Guadalupe Parra, Panfilo (Elida) Parra, Rumaldo (Margarita) Parra, Ricardo Parra, Juanita (Teofilo) Gonzalez, Guillermo (Celia) Parra Jr. Lydia Parra; sister-in-law, Teresa Vda. De Rodriguez. Mrs. Parra is also survived by 25 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. A rosary will be recited on Sunday, July 8, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. at the Hillside Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 9, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. from Hillside Funeral Home to San Luis Rey Catholic Church. Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the City of Laredo Cemetery.
