Cenobio E. Navarro, 86, passed away on Tuesday, August 4, 2020 in Laredo, Texas. Born in the small town of Villa Juarez, Coahuila, Cenobio left home at just 15 years old to work in Monterrey and eventually moved to Chicago where he met the love of his life, Molly Salinas. Together, they moved to Laredo where they raised a loving Catholic family. He worked as the Supervisor at the Amtrak Passenger Train Station and retired after 30 years of service. A proud Laredoan, he gave back to his community as a volunteer baseball coach in the Noon Optimist Senior League. He was an active member of the Catholic church and served as a lector at Blessed Sacrament Church. He loved baseball, Danny’s restaurant, and making people laugh but more than anything he loved his family and God. His family is comforted knowing that he is reunited with his wife in Heaven.
