Dave J. Castellano, 90, entered into eternal rest Sunday, June 28, 2020, at home in San Antonio, Texas surrounded by his loving family. “At the end of my rainbow, I shall say life has been interesting and worth it all. Please know I shall miss my loving family and friends on this earth. You are all invited to join me in a better life we believe it is heaven. Do not cry for me, I lived a wonderful life and found retirement worth it all.” – Dave J. Castellano Mr. Castellano is preceded in death by his loving partner Thomas M. “Tommy” Ferrill; parents, David and Jane Castellano; siblings, Joseph Harry Castellano, Benito Roy Castellano, Jessie Castellano; and former spouse and mother to his children, Gloria Barrera Castellano. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Gloria Yvonne Castellano, Laura C. (Adrian) Mireles, and David A. (Cynthia) Castellano; grandchildren, Bobby Sthal, Valerie L. Castellano, David A. Castellano Jr., and Adrian Mireles III; siblings, Jane (Reymundo) Castellano Gonzalez, and Josie (Eduardo) Castellano-Lozano. Mr. Castellano is also survived by nieces, nephews, numerous relatives, and friends. A rosary will be recited on Wednesday, July 1, 2020, at 7:00 p.m. in the Hillside Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. from Hillside Funeral Home to Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. A mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Pallbearers will be David A. Castellano, Adrian Mireles, Adrian Mireles III, Jesus Angel Lozano, Eddie Lozano Jr., and Roberto Eguia. Interment will follow to the family plot of the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
